Conflict Resolution & Peace Club Training
June 6, 2026

Purpose
Fights between students waste teaching time and cause injuries. Peace Club Training with NGO “Build-Peace” teaches JSS3-SSS2 students mediation skills.
- Goal: students solve small conflicts before teachers get involved.
Training Modules
Module 1
Listen First – “Stop, Breathe, Listen” technique. Students role-play fights over borrowed pen.
Module 2
“I Feel” Statements – Replace “You’re wicked” with “I feel bad when you take my book”.
Module 3
Win-Win Solutions – Find solution where both students are okay. Example: share book on alternate days.
Module 4
Safe Reporting – When to involve teacher vs when to settle yourself.
Peace Ambassadors
20 students graduate as Peace Ambassadors. They wear blue badge. During break, they patrol and offer help if they see argument starting. They don’t punish — they mediate.
Results
Discipline book entries drop 60% in 1 term. Students learn communication skills that help at home too. Parents report fewer “my child was beaten in school” cases.
Sustainability
Peace Club meets weekly. Senior ambassadors train JSS1 students next term. NGO gives school “Peace Corner” banner and mediation script poster for classrooms.
