Alumni Career Day & Mentorship

PURPOSE

Students need proof that “school pays”. Alumni Career Day brings past students who graduated 3-10 years ago to share real career paths. NGO “Alumni 4 Impact” coordinates. No motivational speech — just real talk.

 

Event Structure

Panel 1

University Journey- 3 alumni in 200-400 level share: how they chose course, survived 100-level, got scholarship.

Panel 2

Skills & Hustle – Alumni who didn’t go to uni but run business: fashion designer, barber, caterer. Show that success has many paths.

Panel 3

Q&A- SSS3 students ask anything: “How much do you earn?”, “What do you regret?”.

 

Mentorship Matching

SSS3 students who want specific course get matched with alumni in that field. WhatsApp group created for 6 month mentorship. Alumni send university application tips.

 

Emotional Impact

Current students see “she sat in this same classroom 5 years ago and now she’s nurse”. Motivation becomes real, not abstract. Alumni feel proud to give back.

 

Database Building  

School creates alumni database during event. Future events become easier. Old students promise to sponsor 1 student yearly.
